Cosy Christmas Knit

Hi guys!

It's another festive post this week as it's exactly one month until Christmas Eve (yay!) and I couldn't wait any longer to share quite possibly one of my favourite purchases of the year with you all :)

please excuse my awful nail painting skills (I promise they don't look this bad in real life!) and also how strange my layers look! Again they look nothing like this off camera!

Cosy comfy Christmas knit is the only way to sum up this jumper. I picked this it up last weekend in Topshop and I think it’s fair to say I’m head over heels for it. Not only is it perfect for the festive season, but it is made from the most beautiful material which is super soft and cosy so absolutely ideal for the colder winter months. It’s also covered in the most adorable gingerbread men; what more could you want in a Christmas jumper?!
On my nails this week I've been loving MUA’s ‘pistachio’ which is a gorgeous mint colour. Athough this may be more of a summery colour, I’ve been really liking to wear it to brighten up outfits! In other news, (I’m so excited I’m going to dance around my room for the next week) I now have my camera back which means blogging will be a lot easier and more frequent!

Let me know in the comments what your favourite nail polish of the moment is!

'Tis the season to be jolly

Hi guys!

Last month I wrote a post including all my favourite autumnal pinterest pictures and rambling about how much I loved autumn leaves and my excitement for christmas. Yep, it was pretty much just me spilling all of my child like excitements and fantasies for the colder months onto my laptop keyboard but it was nice to write a chattier and more relaxed post so thought I'd continue it this month!

It's quite possible that I am the only teenager in the country who started shamelessly dancing around my room listening to christmas music half way through September and re pinning all things festive to my pinterest boards (sorry to anyone who follows me for this..) but I might just be exceeding the excitement limits of a small child at the thought of santa and his sleigh in only 37 days eeekk. Yes it may only be half way through November, yes I'm probably 'too old' to get this excited for Christmas (In my opinion you are never too old!) but I just can't help feeling ridiculously happy at the thought of Home Alone on the telly, xmassy nail art and best of all mince pies!

I'm hoping to get back into regular posting soon but college work is drowning me a little at the moment (sixth form is 100% taking over my life) so taking photographs for my blog has been a little difficult as it's dark when I get home which is definitley one of the downsides to Winter, booo :(

Let me know in the comments what you're most looking forward to this winter!

Autumn OOTD

Hi there!

This weekend on our way to do some weekend shopping errands I thought it would be nice to stop and take a few pictures of my outfit. I'm really really enjoying planning outfits at the moment so hopefully I'll be uploading more outfit related posts soon, yay! I featured this jumper in one of my previous posts but I've been styling it non stop lately because it's such a pretty colour! I've been wearing this outfit non stop  a lot to college at the moment because it's perfect for keeping warm on early morning buses (getting the 6.30am bus is 100% the most horrible thing about sixth form h e l p) whilst still looking cute and girly! I'm also absolutely loving tartan at the moment so this skirt is possibly my favourite piece in my current wardrobe!

I hope you all had lovely weekends, let me know all about them in the comments!

Foundation Combination!

Hi guys!

First up I just want to apologise for not posting in what seems like forever but it’s been one of those weeks when life seems to get in the way. Unfortunatley whilst I was on holiday my camera was stolen *has emotional breakdown* so I haven't been able to take any pictures for blog posts which is SO ANNOYING! Luckily I have managed to borrow a camera from my sixth form so I can spend the weekend blogging my life away whilst I should be doing the 2519761 pieces of coursework I have, oops...

If you have read some of my previous posts then you’ll probably know that my Mac foundation is quite possibly my favourite thing ever. I'm not even exaggerating (which is something I do quite often...) when I say that it is pretty much everything that I look for in a foundation to suit my oily skin. In the past I have found it a little difficult to find a product that is high enough coverage to cover my blemishes and spots whilst also keeping my skin looking matte but this definitely does both of these things! It’s branded as medium to high coverage which I agree with as it is very easily buildable without looking cakey but also can be worn to look more natural which is what I often prefer. Seeing as Christmas is only just around the corner (you know you’re obsessed when you start putting Christmas playlists on repeat) then I’d definitely put it top of your present list if you’re wanting a high end foundation but aren’t sure which one to go for J  It is on the higher end of my budget at £20.50 I think it's really worth paying a little more for a product that works this well :)

A more affordable alternative to the Mac foundation is one which has been an all time favourite of mine for a long time from Max Factor. I love this foundation for giving a really lovely coverage whilst looking completely natural and lasting all day. I wore this foundation throughout secondary school so if your school rules are a little stricter I would really recommend this as it easily covers blemishes without looking too noticeable. As it’s from the drugstore it is a lot cheaper than Mac at £9.99 which is so so good for a product of this quality! I’ve been loving mixing a little of each foundation together at the moment as it not only creates the perfect colour for my skin but they also work really nicely together to make a lovely formula!

Let me know what your favourite foundations are in the comments as I seem to be the tinest bit obsessed with looking for the ultimate one!

winter want list

Time is literally flying past at the moment and I can't believe it's already November!! If every year of my life goes as quickly as 2013 has then I'm soon going to be 40, married (or living with a family of cats) and going on hiking trips to the Lake District or whatever it is that adults do. Now that that slightly side tracked introduction is out of the way it's probably time I actually got to the aim of this post which is my winter want list! Now that winter is well and truly under way I thought it would be nice to hop onto polyvore and create a list of all the beautiful items I desperately want but can't afford (first world problems right?). If you're not familiar with polyvore then it is pretty much a fashion addicts perfect app...you can browse through lots of clothes that are currently in the shops, create sets of different outfits and easily click onto the websites to buy online; perfect!

1) Mittens from Asos
These are possibly the cutest winter accessory ever! For £24 they are a little on the pricey side but it's not every day you can wear polar bear mittens right?! (that's my justification anyway...)

2) Skirt from New Look
I have a tartan inspired post coming up very soon as my obsession for all things checked is getting a little out of control. This skirt looks so so lovely and the colours are absoloutley perfect if you're wanting to keep on trend with the tartan theme but are a little scared of brigher tartan patterns.

3) Boyfriend Jeans from River Island
Boyfriend Jeans/Mom Jeans are possibly my favourite trend from the whole of 2013. I love how they can make a simple top or jumper look effortlessly put together and add a more boyish edge to a look! I have been eyeing up this pair from River Island for a while now because the rips make them seem far nicer than the topshop ones I already own...
you know you're obsessed with shopping when you justify buying a pair of jeans from the rips

4) 'Bashful' Nail polish from Topshop
To contradict what I previously said, pastels are also one of my favourite trends from 2013 and I'm not ready to let go of them just yet. This Topshop nail polish is the most gorgeous baby blue colour and I think would be perfect to add a little extra something to an outfit without it being too in your face. I've also found from past experience that Topshop nail varnishes are really lovely quality and for only £5 you can't go wrong!!

5) Vagabond Boots from Office
In my opinion saving the best item until last are these AMAZING boots from Office. I have been on the look out for a good pair of winter boots for a while now and I saw these online about a month ago and have been lusting after them ever since. Unfortunately they are sold out on the website so I can't include a link but as soon as I get my hands on a pair of these for myself they will 100% be featured in a post then!

That's everything on my current winter want list! Let me know in the comments what your favourite item was and also what you're hoping to pick up soon!
